Display of your photographs | Bigger might be better

So, you hired (or are thinking about hiring) a professional photographer for your portrait session to capture the beautiful images you always envisioned hanging above your couch or fireplace. What a perfect spot you have to display these captures.

BUT! It can be tricky!! Often it is very hard to “see” how a photo will look in a certain place. What can get especially challenging is choosing the correct size. If you have a nice big wall, a little 8×10 looks lost. Completely lost! You want your photographs make an impact, make a presence…. With a clever choice of size and/or putting together the right combination of a group of photos, you can achieve that. Which brings me to another important point: photo groupings. What a fun way to display many images at once. If well done, groupings have as much impact as individual larger prints.  The options are endless, but again, for many it can be a challenge.

This is where I, as your photographer, come in to finish my job to your full satisfaction. As a part of my services I will help you during your Viewing and Ordering Session to choose the best options for your wall display of your selected photographs.

Below are some examples of how the size of a print on a wall can indeed have a very different impression and appeal. I am also including several examples of photo groupings and what kind of presence they make.  You be the judge.

Wall photo display in 8x10 size.

Here is an example of a large space with a small 8×10 print, which looks completely lost.

Wall photo display in 30x40 size.

Now, this 30×40 print makes an instant impact, doesn’t it?

Wall photo display grouping in 20x30 and 16x20 size.

Here is an example of a grouping. The sizes are 20×30 and 16×20.

Wall photo display of framed group of images in 11x14 size.

A group of 3 framed 11×14 photos with a 2″ mat and 1″ molding. Again, makes a statement.

Wall photo display of four 20x20 images.

Here is a popular quad grouping of 20×20 images. Beautiful!

Wall photo triptych display in 16x24 size.

And last, but not least, is a lovely vertical 16×24 triptych.
