What is your shooting style?

My shooting style is a mixture of traditional and lifestyle. My approach is very casual with the emphasis to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. My editing is natural, clean and colorful. Please make sure you take a minute to browse my galleries or see my latest work on my blog.

Where will our session take place?

I primarily shoot on location. If you don’t have a particular location in mind, I have many favorite spots and am happy to suggest one. Newborn sessions are conducted in the comfort of your home.

What time of the day do you shoot?

My preferred time to photograph is in the late afternoon/early evening as this is when you get the lovely light you often see in my images. The exact times vary, of course, depending on the season.

How long will the session last?

You should plan for about 1-2 hours with newborn sessions lasting longer.

What is included in the session fee?

The session fee covers a pre-session consultation, shooting time and custom editing and processing of your photographs resulting in 20 – 25 finished images. Prints and digital files are sold separately.

When is the best time for maternity session?

Between 30 – 34 weeks when you show very nicely, but it is still well before reaching a point when you might start being more uncomfortable.

When is the best time to photograph newborns?

The optimal time is within the first 14 days of baby’s life. Babies are very sleepy, flexible and free of newborn acne at this time.

I have never done this! Will you help me plan the session?

You bet! I am here for you so you can relax and enjoy the process. Planning is actually where the fun begins! I have put together a written session guide which you will receive upon your booking. This guide will give you a great session overview and will help you to prepare. I will follow with a consultation- either in person over a cup of coffee or over the phone. You decide. See? Fun!

What to wear? Help!

I am glad you asked. Trust me, I know how overwhelming it can be just thinking about trying to coordinate clothing. Don’t worry though, in my session guide I cover in detail what type of clothing is great to wear to a session and in which you will look smashing. I give tips on how to go about coordinating the whole family as well as what kind of clothes are best to stay away from. After you have a chance to read through the materials, we will chat about it once more during our consultation. I also have put together some helpful visuals HERE.

My little one won’t sit still and my older one is extremely shy. We cannot possibly get a decent picture. This is going to be a disaster…

Seems to me like your children are just being children! I have seen it all. And don’t forget, I have 2 of my own. Whether your little one is a busy body or is very shy, I always take time to get acquainted with them first and then proceed based on their response. I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve to get them engaged and comfortable, which means you can relax and not stress about the performance of your children one bit. There is no need to coach them into saying cheese or smile. After all, we want the real expressions and smiles, don’t we? All I ask of you is to make sure your child is fed and well rested. Then you can leave the rest up to me.

OMG! I am so bad in front of the camera!!

Now, go easy on yourself!! Unless you pose for photos for a living, I expect that you might feel a little awkward at first. Or a lot!  Don’t worry, though. I will take charge, redirect as needed and you should be able to relax very quickly.

How long will it take to see my photos after the session?

It takes about 2 – 3 weeks to process your images. Then we will meet for an in-person viewing and ordering session. All decision-makers need to be present.  You will be able to see and touch all the products I offer, ask any questions, and, thereby, make an informed decision regarding your portrait selections. Long distance clients will be presented with an on-line, private gallery. You can view all the beautiful prints and products my studio offers HERE.

You took so many photos. Will we get to see all of them? Can we see the unedited (RAW) images?

The short answer is NO. Trust me, you do not want to go through all the images! I will do that for you. As you can imagine, many factors play a role in selecting the images I edit and include in your gallery and this where my expertise comes handy. Only the absolute best of the best make it, which will in the end be about 20-25 images. These images will be fully edited, cropped, and prepared for final presentation. Unedited images are never shown or provided.

How long after the session do you keep my images?

To accommodate new clients, unordered images will be purged 30 days after your session. Ordered images will be archived in my system for 1 year.

Do you offer a payment plan?

Yes, I do! I will gladly give you the details if interested.

Do you have a referral program?

Yes! I greatly value my clients and supporters who like my work and refer others. You can find the details about my referral program and the print credit you receive when you send your friends HERE.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you are unable to keep your appointment, I ask you to notify me at least 24 hours before your scheduled session. Your deposit will be applied to your rescheduled session.
