Hello again!

Sweet Emory turned 1! To record this important milestone, we met for a family photo session at the Botanical Gardens. This was back in May when Spring and warm weather was well underway. As a parent, I know all too well the fast pace at which child’s birthday approaches each year. And it comes faster and faster the older they get. It is cliché to say they grow up so fast, but, dang it, it is one we all know is so true.

As a family photographer, I, obviously, love when families take the time from their busy lives and invest in family photos. These families realize very well that this is time we cannot ever bring back. Consequently, they realize that family photographs are essential to keep these memories alive. Alive for them, their children and their children’s children. Have you ever rifled through a box full of images or flipped through an album from your childhood? Then you understand. You understand what these photographs really mean. But wait, you will find an even deeper understanding 10, 15, and 20 years from now, because this time YOU are the parent.

Emory, may your 2nd year be amazing and may it go slowly. Really slowly.
